I used a Microsoft Paint to create these ‘proposals’ of drawings in the landscape.
These are drawings of planes in situ. My intention is to fabricate color drawings out of bundled bungee cords stretched taut and let them stay through one summer and one winter.
One was a proposal for a collaborative installation of colorful ceramic pieces made to sit on top of 4 feet by 1/2 inch aluminum rods fixed in concrete inside the hollow of cinder blocks that are buried. Supposed to be installed in the spring so that grasses and weeds can grow around them to eventually by fall to cover some of them only to be revealed when snow trample the weeds.
I live and work in a rural county and these drawings came about from an idea to install art that is for drive-by viewing, not permanent, not for sale and does not alter the natural landscape when the year and a half exhibition comes to an end.
